Core Strength & Balance Circuit Classwith Jim Jensen![]() This small group class focuses on training the muscles of the torso, spine, hip and pelvis, collectively known as your core. These muscles are the foundation for most human movement and are vital for good balance, strength and stability. A weak core is often the underlying culprit in lower back pain, poor posture as well as many other muscle-related injuries. This class will strengthen the core through a progressive variety of safe, fun and challenging functional exercises in a circuit-style program. Because these hour-long group classes will consist of only 4 people we require students to sign up and prepay to hold their space. Your investment in a 10-class package is $250. The creator of this highly effective program, Jim Jensen, will be providing these classes at Alive! beginning April 21st. We are very excited to have someone of Jim’s caliber and expertise available to Alive! Whole Life Fitness Studio. About Jim JensenJim specializes in functional fitness and balance training for adults with an emphasis on special populations. Jim has extensive hands-on experience working with mature adults and those with physical challenges ranging from physical de-conditioning to multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic brain injury and Parkinson’s disease. Jim is a certified personal trainer and a Corrective Exercise Specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine and holds an Associate of Arts degree in Adaptive Fitness. Being a baby-boomer himself provides Jim with a unique vantage point of the challenges and benefits of achieving and maintaining fitness as a mature adult.
